Tehran is ready to reinitiate atomic talks with the United States as long as it is treated with "dignity" and "honor", Iran's top diplomat has announced.

The Iranian diplomat stated only diplomacy produced results, and revealed fresh requests had come from mediators to resume talks with the Trump administration. He said Iran did not have unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to allow the global atomic watchdog to visit struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Walking a Challenging Path

The foreign minister is treading a complex course since Iran aims to avoid be seen to be acting from a stance of disadvantage, and he consistently maintained that Iran had arisen more resilient defensively and mentally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was talking at a defense forum in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to enrich uranium on home soil that it will perpetually retain" – the key factor of the impasse in the earlier negotiations.

Previous Talks Abruptly Terminated

The prior phases of talks between the US and Iran were ended suddenly and acrimonious termination on 12 June when Israel, with US support, struck Tehran's atomic facilities in a 12-day war that culminated with the US president asserting the locations had been destroyed. Afterward, Western states employed their privilege to reinstate UN-wide sanctions, but Iran maintains they have not had a major impact.

Magic Solution Suggested

Iranian officials claimed they felt they had reached a "magic solution" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with Washington's engagement could process nuclear material. Each party would have been able to declare success since home-based processing would have remained and the US could be assured that Iran's enrichment initiative was entirely non-military.

It had not been decided in the discussions that US nuclear scientists could work inside Iran, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. Representatives claimed repeatedly they had secured an understanding with Trump's special envoy the American negotiator only for the arrangement to fall apart due to "opponents in the US".

Existing Situation

Iranian officials said the cooperative arrangement was now no longer available, but it seems highly likely the proposal could be reintroduced in certain ways if negotiations restart.

Trump last week claimed he had been receiving messages that Iran sought to resume discussions, but privately Iran's diplomats say they are not yet receiving coherent offers from America either straightforwardly or from key regional mediators, such as the Qatari government, Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been accused of passivity in the aftermath of the US president's straightforward manner, but Tehran states dialogue is not part of a show.

Negotiating Position

In his address to the conference, aimed to portray the US as a hegemonic power that misuses the concept of worldwide standards, the foreign minister said the two-week conflict showed the clash could not be ended by combat operations. He asserted the attacks began with a US demand for an complete Tehran capitulation and culminated with an unconditional call for a truce.

Iran is convinced the initial Israeli attacks were mounted with total Washington understanding and collaboration, making faith challenging to restore.

Dialogue Stays the Primary Resolution

The foreign minister stated: "Tehran was not the one that had abandoned dialogue; it was America and the Western nations that had repeatedly sought to impose their demands during the negotiations. Dialogue can still be alive and continues the ultimate answer to address disagreements, but its standards, regulations and tenets must be respected."

"In case they talk to the Iranian people with the tone of respect and respect, they will obtain a reply in the identical language."

Restoration and Recovery

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the struggle of restoration and reconstruction, Araghchi stated he was confident Iran's security strengths "are much stronger than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been rebuilt. We gained multiple understandings from this conflict; we have come to know our personal limitations and the weaknesses of the opponent."

He continued: "We effectively endured this war. Our atomic expertise, which they intended to obliterate, continues to exist. The facilities and gear, if eliminated, will be reconstructed; what is crucial is the will of the citizens of Tehran and then the social solidarity that they targeted, but did not succeed to break. The Iranian people have grown stronger, more united, and more supportive of the leadership and the nation in the aftermath of this invasion."
